Edge Firewall
pfSense is deployed as the primary firewall and routing platform for the lab network.
A red-team inspired infrastructure lab focused on networking, firewalls, virtualization, systems administration, documentation, and practical security operations.
The current foundation is focused on stable edge routing, internal DHCP/DNS, public site deployment, and preparing for managed switching and virtualization.
pfSense is deployed as the primary firewall and routing platform for the lab network.
Fiber internet is active with a DHCP-delivered static public IP assigned to the firewall.
InfraSynth Labs is hosted through Cloudflare Pages with DNS managed through Cloudflare.
Cisco Catalyst 3750G-24TS-S is acquired and pending baseline configuration.
Proxmox is planned as the next major platform for Linux servers, Docker services, and lab VMs.
The lab is being documented as a public portfolio showing design, deployment, and troubleshooting work.
Practical infrastructure work documented as real deployment milestones, not just theory or placeholders.
Deployed pfSense as the primary firewall, replacing ISP gateway routing and creating the foundation for DHCP, DNS, NAT, firewall policy, and future segmentation.
Documenting the ISP handoff, DHCP-delivered static IP behavior, gateway issues, and the troubleshooting process used to restore connectivity.
Preparing the Cisco Catalyst 3750G for management access, SSH, baseline configuration, and future VLAN trunking.
Planned virtualization host for Ubuntu Server, Docker services, monitoring, internal tools, and future security projects.
The network is intentionally simple while the firewall foundation is stabilized. More structure will be added in controlled phases.

Rebuilt the InfraSynth Labs website from scratch with a dedicated red/black theme, shared CSS, and a cleaner GitHub structure.
Deployed pfSense as the primary edge firewall and established the base network foundation.
Troubleshot DHCP-delivered static IP behavior, gateway status, WAN assignment, and ISP handoff during firewall replacement.
Configure baseline switch management, local login, SSH access, hostname, and saved configuration.
